Accountants around the world are bullish about their future and the promise of AI to shoulder the number-crunching that dominates the profession’s work, according to an industry report released Monday.
The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants surveyed more than 6,000 professionals across 25 countries to set out a long-term vision. Their responses will shape the AICPA’s training, as well as guide firms and individual accountants going forward.
Accountants must adopt artificial intelligence or risk becoming irrelevant, said Tom Hood, executive vice president for business engagement and growth with the association. …
