DOVER — The City Council recently approved a camera security system for the new Nebi Park pavilion, despite privacy concerns raised by a minority of council members.
The public pavilion in the 3-acre Nebi Park in the Waterfront District will officially open July 14, according to Mayor Dennis Shanahan. The council authorized the security system for the public pavilion to protect the city and public’s investment, according to City Manager Michael Joyal. The cameras and equipment cost $32,000 and wiring is an additional $32,000, for a total project cost of $64,000, Shanahan said.
