A Kyiv presentation revealed a bold plan to strengthen Ukraine’s cyber defenses, promising proactive measures, domestic support, and new international partnerships.

In Kyiv, a presentation of Ukraine’s Cybersecurity Strategy 3.0 took place, outlining seven main strategic objectives.

According to the press service of the National Security and Defense Council, the event brought together representatives from the security and defense sector, state institutions, international partners, the expert community, academia, and Ukrainian cybersecurity companies to discuss the future development of the national cyber security system.

The main event was the presentation of the Ukraine’s Cybersecurity Strategy 3.0, a document developed by the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center under the NSDC. The document takes into account the experience of countering Russian cyber aggression and the full-scale war, as well as challenges related to the development of technologies, including artificial intelligence and quantum technologies.

Seven strategic goals of Ukraine’s Cybersecurity Strategy 3.0

Among the key tasks is the development of proactive cyber defense and countering cyber aggression.

Strengthening the cyber resilience of society and critical infrastructure.

Improving the system for cyber incident response and information sharing about threats.

Ensuring digital sovereignty and developing public-private cooperation.

Countering threats in the sphere of state security and cybercrime.

Development of international cooperation and regional leadership.

Development of human capital, education, and innovation.

The Strategy places special emphasis on supporting Ukrainian manufacturers of cybersecurity solutions, developing the cyber reserve, creating a collective cyber defense, improving cyber hygiene, and strengthening protection of critical infrastructure.
