Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould today announced the appointment of Scott Adametz as Chief Technology Officer, adding an experienced leader to the conference’s leadership team. With his appointment, the Pac-12 is the first FBS conference to hire a CTO. Adametz officially began his tenure with the Pac-12 in May as the league continues to build toward its launch for the 2026-27 season.

In his role, Adametz is responsible for  aligning technology strategy with the Pac-12’s mission and vision, helping the league remain at the forefront of innovation, fan engagement, and operational excellence and leverage technology, data, and AI as a key part of its go-forward strategy and business model. He will oversee all aspects of technology, blending strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, while also serving as a key member of the conference’s leadership..

Adametz has a wide breadth of experience in the technology space across the sports and entertainment landscape, including as a member of the team behind Pac-12 Networks’ pioneering at-home production model concept and development. Prior to his new role as CTO, he most recently served as the Engineering Director of Ecosystem Security for Epic Games. In that role, he supported security, backend and core engineering teams and efforts across Epic’s Ecosystem Security group, working with Fortnite, Epic’s Unreal Engine, the Epic Games Store & Epic’s Online Services. 

Prior to his time at Epic Games, Adametz has also spent time in leadership roles with Riot Games where he introduced core Pac-12 technology for its international systems and workflows, as well as the National Football League, Swiftstack, Pac-12 Networks, Groupon and also as a part of the team that built the Big…
