MADISON, Ill. (May 20, 2026) – The Illinois State Police returned to World Wide Technology Raceway for their annual inspections on May 20.

Over 70 cars packed pit road where supervisors inspected each vehicle, and their tactical gear,  in great detail. These annual inspections have taken place at WWT Raceway for the past few years as the ISP Troop 8 is located just 10 minutes away from the track in Collinsville, Ill.

“World Wide Technology Raceway and the Illinois State Police have a great working relationship and we are proud to host this annual inspection,” said Chris Blair, WWT Raceway Executive Vice President and General Manager.  “We are committed to serving our community and have long supported the efforts of our first responders in their readiness efforts.”

This year, each vehicle had the opportunity to take a lap around the 1.25-mile oval that will soon host the NTT INDYCAR SERIES on June 6-7. The fleet participated in a spectacular three-wide parade around the track with red and blue lights flashing.

The annual gathering showcased both the preparedness of the Illinois State Police fleet and the continuing relationship between local law enforcement and World Wide Technology Raceway.
