CHAPIN, S.C. (WIS) – Residents in Chapin will have a chance to voice their thoughts on a land sale that could result in new development.
Lexington County Council will hold a public hearing on June 10 at 5:30 p.m., concerning a 200-acre land sale at the Chapin Technology Park. County leaders took a first step in approving the sale in April.
The potential buyers are listed as Brighton Capital Partners, LLC. The group’s website contains details of a proposed mixed-use development called “Palatin.” That development includes new businesses and housing across the 200 acres.
Developed in the early 2010s, Chapin Technology Park has since sat without business and is mostly made up of paths leading to dead ends, sidewalks and a water fountain.
