Tesla has pushed version 26.4.5 of its Robotaxi app to the iOS App Store, the latest in a steady drumbeat of updates since the app’s public launch last year. The changelog is brief — minor fixes and improvements — but the cadence of releases signals active development behind the scenes.

The app has been updated frequently since Tesla launched it in September 2025, with the Android version arriving on Google Play as recently as April 24, 2026. Prior iOS releases include version 26.4.0 on April 24 and version 26.3.0 on April 2, which added Apple Pay support. The 26.4.5 bump follows that same pattern: incremental polish rather than headline features, but consistent enough to suggest Tesla’s engineering team is actively responding to real-world rider feedback.

The Robotaxi service currently operates in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Texas, and in California’s Bay Area — though Bay Area rides still require a human safety driver due to state licensing rules. The app itself gives riders meaningful control during a trip: climate settings, seat positioning, music streaming, drop-off adjustments, and the ability to request an immediate stop. Cabin cameras monitor the interior for safety, and vehicles pulse their lights on arrival so riders can identify their car. A maximum wait time of seven minutes applies before the vehicle departs without a passenger.

Version 26.4.0’s code had already hinted at features not yet publicly active — dynamic pricing logic and a minimum ride distance requirement among them. Whether 26.4.5 advances any of those quietly is not yet clear. For now, iPhone users should see the update available in the App Store. If you’re in a supported city and using the Robotaxi service, it’s worth grabbing the update before your next ride.
