Googlebook appears to be Google’s next attempt to bring Android into the laptop market. A leaked slide shared online shows a new laptop platform “designed for Gemini Intelligence,” with features built around Android apps, Chrome and Google’s AI assistant.
Googlebook also appears to include deeper Android phone integration. The slide shows “Cast My Apps,” a feature that lets users access Android phone apps on the laptop. The example screen includes mobile apps such as Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Airbnb, Canva, CapCut, Duolingo, Google Keep, Lyft, Maps, Meet, Netflix, Roblox, Spotify, Uber, YouTube and Google Photos.
The slide names several core features. “Magic Pointer” appears to use Gemini to understand content on screen and suggest actions. In one example shown by Google, the system combines two images into a band poster. Another feature called “Create My Widget” lets users create a live tracker from a prompt, with Google services such as Calendar and Gmail likely used as data sources.

The hardware side is also mentioned. The slide lists Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo as partners, with “devices coming this fall.” It also shows a thin laptop design with a Google-colored light strip called “Glowbar.” The same branding appears on the main Googlebook device image.

Since the article is based on a leak, it is not clear whether the software shown in the slide is the same Aluminium OS platform reported earlier. We previously covered a leaked desktop-style Android build running on an HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook, with Android 16 references, desktop Chrome elements, window controls, split-screen multitasking and Play Store access.
