With iOS 27, not only image editing but also the Wallet app on the Apple iPhone could become significantly more flexible. According to recent reports, it will be possible for the first time to convert almost any QR code directly into a digital pass. This function, apparently referred to internally as “Create a Pass”, would remove a previous restriction: Until now, tickets or access cards can only be stored in the Wallet if providers officially support them.

This restriction is particularly noticeable in Europe, as many services do not offer native wallet integration.
