WhatsApp has rolled out its Message History feature for group chats, first announced on February 20, enabling administrators to share past conversations with newly added members. The feature is now widely available across Android and iOS devices.
The WhatsApp update addresses a long-standing issue where new members joining a group were unable to view earlier conversations, often missing context and references. With the new functionality, group admins can now share a selected number of previous messages, allowing new participants to better understand ongoing discussions.
Previously, users added to a group could only access messages sent after they joined, limiting their ability to engage fully in conversations.
