Saint Lucia is focused on the implementation of the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project (CARDTP), which is taking significant strides to enhance regional cybersecurity, focusing on institutional resilience as a key element in the fight against cybercrime.

A primary focus is the launch of a public awareness campaign aimed at educating citizens about cyber risks and promoting safe digital behaviors. By doing so, the initiative bolsters resilience against cybercrime, enhances digital trust, and aligns national strategies across the Caribbean region.
Empowering both individuals and institutions, CARDTP is fostering a secure digital ecosystem essential for sustainable economic growth and innovation. Recently, CARDTP conducted the National Institutional Readiness Session on Cybersecurity and Cybercrime, launching the “Safer Cyber Spaces” initiative.

This in-person session engaged key public sector stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and institutional readiness.
During the opening session, representatives from major stakeholder agencies, including OECS and CARICOM IMPACS, shared insights about their contributions to the project.
The CARDTP representative emphasized, “The project aims to modernize public service delivery, strengthen digital infrastructure, and support a secure, growing digital economy.”
She acknowledged that Saint Lucia, like many Small Island Developing States (SIDS), faces challenges related to cybersecurity planning, coordination, and incident response.
