MacBook Neo

MacBook introduces its most affordable laptop yet: a brand new category of MacBooks named the MacBook Neo. It’s a genuinely well-specced machine built around the A18 Pro chip (the same silicon inside the iPhone 16 Pro), in a proper aluminium enclosure, with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display at 500 nits and support for 1 billion colours.

Performance-wise, it serves well beyond its price point: up to 50 percent faster than the bestselling Intel Core Ultra 5 PC for everyday tasks, and up to 3x faster for on-device AI workloads. The 16-core Neural Engine handles Apple Intelligence features locally, the machine runs completely silent thanks to a fanless design, and battery life stretches to 16 hours.

The camera and audio setup is also pretty solid: a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual mics with directional beamforming, and dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. Two USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 6 cover connectivity basics.
