Capgemini has extended its contract with McDonald’s for an additional five years to continue the rollout of modern platforms across guest and crew-facing experiences.

The technology services provider added that the move is aligned with the fast food chain’s “Accelerating the Arches” strategy.

McDonald’s aims to reach 250 million 90‑day active loyalty users and generate $45bn in annual systemwide sales from loyalty members by the end of next year.

The fast food chain also plans to link thousands of its restaurants with Google Cloud technology as part of its growth strategy.

The renewed partnership is positioned as the next stage of McDonald’s digital transformation, with a focus on revenue growth and business value.

Over the next five years, work will centre on restaurant modernisation, consumer technology enhancements, quicker delivery of new digital features and adoption of more cost-efficient operating models, supported by AI.
