The iPhone 17e is coming soon, and with the rumored launch window coming up fast, you might have started wondering exactly what the phone has to offer. Fortunately, new reports from Macotakara and Macwelt have revealed some of the key things we should expect from Apple’s cheapest iPhone.

First up is the launch date. Macwelt claims that the new phone could arrive in just two weeks, on February 19. While a Thursday launch is a little late in the week compared to a typical Apple launch, this date is exactly one year after the launch of iPhone 16e. So it makes perfect sense that the 17e should arrive around that date.

Macwelt also reiterated rumors that the 17e would come with MagSafe and wireless charging speeds up to 25W. Which means an all-round smoother wireless charging experience, and the ability to use magnetic accessories like grips, wallets and whatever else may take your fancy,

Macotakara reports that “reliable sources” speaking to the site, the iPhone 17e should follow the same basic design as last year’s iPhone 16e. That means it should have the same overall look, with a notched display rather than a flashy new Dynamic Island that had been rumored.

Internally, the phone will likely have the A19 chipset found in the rest of the iPhone 17 series, alongside the new C1X modem and the Apple N1 wireless networking chip. There’s no mention of RAM, but I’d guess that we shouldn’t expect any extra memory anytime soon. So expect the same 8GB of RAM as last year, which is the minimum needed to run Apple Intelligence.
