U.S. package theft went down by around 16 million in 2025 compared to 2024.

Still, 104 million packages were snatched from porches last year, according to Safewise.

Porch piracy is a major issue in indiana, with the state seeing some of the highest median values for stolen packages in the country–around $250.

It appears likely that the World Cup will feature empty seats when the tournament kicks off this week, based on a Financial Times analysis of official resale sites showing nearly 180,000 available tickets.

Median prices have fallen 20% in the last month, meaning that most sales will come at a loss, once transaction fees are subtracted.
