iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max Expected in September 2026: All We Know So Far

Apple is reportedly preparing to launch the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max as its next flagship smartphones, following the strong demand for the iPhone 17 lineup last year. According to multiple rumours and media reports, the new Pro models are expected to arrive with upgrades such as a faster A20 chip, a bigger battery, and new vibrant colour options. Some reports also suggest Apple may skip the standard iPhone 18 this year and instead launch it in early 2027, while focusing on the Pro models and possibly introducing its first foldable iPhone at the same event.

Apple was planning to acquire the Halide camera app (Lux Optics) to enhance the iPhone 18 Pro’s camera features.

Apple’s next-generation iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to continue the design shift introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro. Reports suggest the company may retain the aluminium rear panel instead of titanium and keep a similar overall look with the large camera module on the back. However, the upcoming models could feature a more unified glass finish instead of the dual-tone design seen in the previous generation. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is also expected to be slightly thicker, with reports pointing to a thickness of around 8.8mm.

The new models are also likely to arrive with refreshed colour options.
