Becker Professional Development Corp. must face a proposed class action alleging it shared the video-watching histories of its customers with Google LLC and Meta Platforms Inc. in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

Lead plaintiff Michael Garcia adequately alleged that Becker disclosed his personally identifiable information as defined under the VPPA, Judge Julia E. Kobick of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts said Wednesday.
