Ukraine adopts Starlink D2C technology

SpaceX is working with Ukraine telco Kvivstar to partner Starlink’s adoption in the nation for Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) cellular telephony. The move suggests that Ukraine is thus the first country in Europe to launch Starlink D2C technology and availability.
Reports from Ukraine say that Kyivstar is rolling out Starlink-powered mobile satellite services across Ukraine.
Almost 5 million users are said to have already connected to the Kyivstar-SpaceX network. Details are still sketchy as to whether these calls/messages are working indoors (without a WiFi or Ethernet-type connection).
The news adds that more than 7 million messages have been sent via Starlink Mobile.
The Starlink technology works with ordinary 4G smartphones when terrestrial networks are unavailable. The reports say that mobile internet and voice services are planned next.
