Levata announced the acquisition of POSDATA Group, expanding its enterprise technology platform into payment technologies and strengthening its presence in the retail and hospitality sectors.

The acquisition adds certified payment terminal distribution, encryption key injection capabilities, and nationwide deployment services to Levata’s portfolio. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in Louisville, Kentucky, POSDATA is an authorized distributor for major payment terminal manufacturers, including Verifone, Ingenico, Equinox, PAX, and ID TECH. The company operates a fully certified encryption key injection facility that supports payment processors and enterprise customers across the United States.

POSDATA’s offerings include terminal deployment and configuration, remote key injection, advance exchange services, inventory pool management, and OEM returns management. These services require strict compliance with payment industry standards and specialized technical expertise, creating high barriers to entry and long-term customer relationships.

The acquisition enhances Levata’s capabilities for enterprise retailers and hospitality operators that manage large fleets of payment terminals. The company said POSDATA’s services complement its existing offerings in automatic identification and data capture, mobility, and networking infrastructure.

POSDATA has served more than 800 enterprise customers and will be fully integrated into Levata’s platform.

Levata said the transaction aligns with its strategy of acquiring businesses with technical expertise, regulatory capabilities, and strong customer relationships in adjacent technology markets. Since 2014, the company has completed more than 20 acquisitions and deployed over $400 million in capital to build its enterprise technology solutions platform.
