“Pokémon Champions” will launch as a free-to-play arena battler on iOS and Android on Jun. 17, 2026, giving trainers a new way to take competitive Pokémon fights on the go.
The Pokémon Company International confirmed that “Pokémon Champions” will arrive via the App Store and Google Play on Jun. 17, with preregistration now open in both storefronts.
The mobile release follows earlier announcements that the game will also be available on Nintendo Switch systems, with cross-platform play allowing battles between console and mobile players, according to Screen Rant.

“Pokémon Champions” is described as free-to-play or free-to-start, with an optional “Pokémon Champions + Starter Pack” bundle planned for Switch platforms, though mobile monetization specifics have not been fully detailed.
Designed around arena-style battles, the game focuses entirely on competitive combat instead of traditional story progression. Matches take place in stadium-like environments where trainers field teams of Pokémon and rely on familiar mechanics such as types, abilities, and moves to outplay human opponents.
Players can choose from multiple online modes, including Ranked, Casual or Friendly, and Private battles, catering to both serious competitors and those who want informal matches with friends.
“Pokémon Champions” also integrates with Pokémon HOME, letting players import selected Pokémon from existing titles and from “Pokémon Go” into their battle rosters.
