In addition to Apple M3 Device Trees for Linux 7.2, the SpacemiT RISC-V SoCs are seeing some notable Device Tree improvements with this next version of the Linux kernel.
The exciting SpacemiT K3 RVA23 RISC-V SoC is now seeing USB 2.0 support working on the mainline kernel for Linux 7 .2 along with PWM support and enabling the RISC-V Ziccrse extension. The K3 also has PDMA working and fixed I/O power in the pin control (pinctrl) code.
Exciting on the hardware side is Device Tree additions enabling the mainline kernel to boot on the K3-powered CoM260-IFX and DeepComputing FML13V05 boards.
In case you missed it recently, see Initial Benchmarks Of The SpacemiT K3 RVA23 RISC-V CPU With The K3 Pico-ITX. More tests forthcoming.
The SpacemiT K1 is also seeing improved upstream support with now having working microSD card, console baudrate control, SPI support, thermal sensor support, and fixing the 32K clock. There is also enabling additional features for the K1 SoC found on the Milk-V Jupiter, MusePi-Pro, Orange Pi R2S, and Orange Pi RV2. Those board improvements are for eMMC, USB, PCIe, and other functionality.
This pull request lays out all of the SpacemiT K1/K3 DT improvements slated for the mainline Linux 7.2 merge window.
