Canfield, Ohio-based IPA 100 firm HBK CPAs & Consultants (FY24 net revenue of $175.6 million) has expanded its technology advisory platform, Vertilocity, through the acquisition of Toledo, Ohio-area technology firm Computol .
Computol brings a team of 13 professionals to Vertilocity, adding a new Ohio office and strengthening the firm’s capabilities in technology strategy, cybersecurity, managed IT, digital transformation and advisory services for middle-market organizations.
“The mid-market is being reshaped by technology, and the firms that are going to be most valuable to those companies are the ones whose advisors operate as one integrated team rather than a collection of separate vendors,” said Tom Angelo, CEO of HBK. “The collective knowledge and expertise of Computol in the Ohio market complements and enhances our technology and advisory offerings throughout our footprint.”
