LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A recent “cybersecurity incident” targeted a Station Casinos employee’s account and files, the company confirmed Monday.
Station Casinos said in a statement that the March breach involved an unauthorized third party accessing one employee’s account.
The company worked with external cybersecurity experts and law enforcement on its response, and it has offered to provide credit monitoring and identity theft protection to anyone who could be affected.
The incident did not affect any of Station Casinos’ properties or business operations, according to the company.
The Maine Attorney General’s Office published a data breach notice from Station Casinos in May, saying it affected one of the state’s residents.
According to the notice, the incident was an “external system breach,” also referred to as hacking.
No further details were disclosed.
