PRESS RELEASE — Yaqumo Inc. (“Yaqumo”), a Japan-based quantum technology company, today announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India, to explore strategic collaboration in the field of quantum technologies.
This LoI aligns with the growing momentum of quantum cooperation between Japan and India, including the “Letter of Intent on Quantum Science, Technology, and Innovation” signed on 4 May 2026 in New Delhi between the Cabinet Office of Japan and the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Republic of India.
The collaboration is also aligned with the direction of advanced technology cooperation outlined in the “India-Japan Digital Partnership 2.0” signed between the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of India, which includes research and development cooperation in emerging technology areas such as quantum computing.
