Lock screen widgets appeared on Android ages ago. Google dropped them, iOS made the concept mainstream again, and Android 16 brought them back.
It’s not necessarily a bad thing that Google is building a bridge to welcome iOS users over. The problem is that it’s ignoring the flaws that are pushing its loyal users away.
