Millions of Americans could soon see a piece of a $135 million legal payout following a massive settlement involving Google and Android.
According to the settlement, eligible customers are those who used a mobile device running the Android operating system to access the internet through cellular data networks since Nov. 12, 2017.
Google has not admitted to any wrongdoing, the settlement states.
Exact payment amounts vary based on the number of participating class members and the amount each class member paid for cellular data on Android devices.
There are approximately 100 million class members, according to Top Class. Each class member is expected to receive the same amount from the settlement fund, but exact payment amounts are not available as of May 14.
The deadline for consumers to exclude themselves is May 29, meaning they will receive no benefits from the settlement and will not be paid.
The final court approval hearing is scheduled for June 23.
Further information about the deadline to file a claim will be made available if the settlement is approved by the court.
