Elektrobit’s EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications has been pre-integrated with ETAS Vehicle Software Platform Suite for ADAS

Elektrobit and ETAS have launched a pre-integrated advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) software foundation combining EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications with ETAS Vehicle Software Platform Suite. The two software suppliers unveiled the joint stack at the Automotive Engineering Exposition in Yokohama on 27–29 May 2026.

The integration delivers Elektrobit’s safety-enabled Linux distribution paired with the ADAS profile of ETAS’s middleware suite. The companies describe the offering as a Linux-based alternative to proprietary operating systems, supporting Automotive Safety Integrity Level B (ASIL-B) safety.

In a statement, Tobias Kreuzinger, Head of Product Field Compute Middleware at ETAS, said: “By combining the ADAS profile of our Vehicle Software Platform Suite with EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications, we’re allowing OEMs and Tier 1s to efficiently enable ASIL-B safety in Linux-based systems while providing series-proven middleware capabilities to ADAS function developers.” Moritz Neukirchner, Head of Cross-Portfolio Growth and Alliances at Elektrobit, added: “In combination with ETAS, we are validating safety-enabled Linux can serve as a solid foundation for ADAS when combined with deterministic middleware.”

Tier 1s and OEMs can integrate the foundation into existing software stacks for production evaluations and pilots. Elektrobit said the Linux distribution is a core element of its software-defined vehicle platform.
