According to the report, 6 institutions were empowered to implement the Jordanian National Cybersecurity Framework. Additionally, 3 cyber bootcamps were held, and 2 national cybersecurity awareness campaigns were launched.
The report indicated that under the project to build and develop sectoral incident response teams—aimed at enhancing national readiness to respond to cyber incidents in vital sectors—tenders for the targeted sectors were issued and their evaluation processes monitored, alongside the completion of agreement signings and the strengthening of coordination with international partners.
In the context of implementing the project to encourage local strategic partnerships and bolster Jordan’s regional and international role—thereby contributing to raising national readiness and improving Jordan’s position on the Global Cybersecurity Index—a series of initiatives were executed. These included: graduating the ninth cohort of the “Cyber Nashama” bootcamp, conducting a number of training and awareness sessions for government employees, training school students for “Capture the Flag” challenges, and launching national awareness campaigns such as “Cyber Crescent” and “Digital Brief” to enhance cybersecurity awareness. Furthermore, a workshop on security verification services was held to elevate technical readiness, and international cooperation was strengthened through a meeting with the National Cybersecurity Agency in the State of Qatar.
