WAHPETON — Jordan Teberg recently signed a sponsorship agreement with C&W Services and Cargill as he prepares to attend North Dakota State College of Science for Electrical Technology.
Through the sponsorship, C&W Services and Cargill will partner with ND Career Builders, a state-sponsored program that matches funds dollar-for-dollar up to $8,500.
Teberg said the sponsorship will help cover most of his college costs while also opening the door to future employment opportunities.
“I feel good about the sponsorship,” Teberg said. “It pays for most of my college expenses except housing and food while also giving me a great job opportunity during school and after.”
Teberg said he chose the Electrical Technology program because the electrical field is in high demand and offers strong career opportunities. He also said NDSCS is a strong trade school close to home.
“This sponsorship gives me the ability to take the electrical program at NDSCS knowing that I won’t be in debt from college while also giving me a great job and career opportunity working with them,” Teberg said.
As he begins the program, Teberg said he is looking forward to hands-on experience and learning from others in the electrical field.
After completing the program, Teberg said his goal is to build a well-paying career with a respected company and earn his journeyman license.
