Best Buy’s Rare $150 iPhone Air Discount Lands Just Before Memorial Day

All iPhone Air models at Best Buy are getting a $150 discount as part of the Memorial Day sale, bringing prices down across storage tiers and color options. All of the devices are unlocked, too. The deal ends May 25.

The 256GB iPhone Air is now $850, down from $1,000, while 512GB configurations drop to $1,050 from $1,200. Likewise, 1TB models are also $150 off, bringing them down to $1,250 from $1,400. (Tiny note: Best Buy’s original prices are $1 more than Apple’s for some reason, so this is technically a $149 discount.)

The iPhone Air leans heavily into its ultrathin design, measuring just 5.6 millimeters (0.22 inches) thick and weighing 165 grams (5.8 ounces). Despite that slim profile, it still packs a big, 6.5-inch display, decent battery life, plus a titanium frame and Ceramic Shield protection for added durability.

CNET’s Abrar Al-Heeti’s initial concerns about the phone bending or having poor battery life were put to rest pretty quickly. “After using the wildly thin device for a week, my worries about durability and battery life have mostly melted away,” she wrote in her review. That said, she also noted that having only one rear lens felt like a setback, even with how good the single 48-megapixel camera performs. A month on, she found she could live with the single camera just fine.
