The Ugreen Mac mini Thunderbolt 5 dock has been launched in China. It features a wide range of ports and has an M.2 slot that can hold an 8TB SSD. The launch price in China is CNY 1,555, around $228.

Ugreen has launched a new Thunderbolt 5 dock for the Mac mini M4 series, which has the model number 85883. It features the Intel-certified JHL9480 controller, which enables the docking accessory to offer up to 120Gbps of 1-way bandwidth. The bi-directional speed, on the other hand, stands at 80Gbps.

It’s specifically designed for the Mac mini M4 series, with the top of the dock having a similar design to the bottom of the Apple mini PC. This makes the docking station pair well. Ugreen has also integrated a cooling setup, making the accessory promise stable performance under heavy loads.

Another highlight of this Thunderbolt 5 dock is the M.2 slot, which can be equipped with up to an 8TB SSD (Samsung 990 Pro 2TB curr. $429.99 on Amazon). Ugreen says that with a PCIe 4.0×4 drive, the dock can offer up to 64Gbps of transfer speed. The company highlights that this storage expansion slot supports 2230, 2242, and 2280 drives and supports B&M Key and M Key SSDs.
