The United States will be one of the host countries for the World Cup taking place this summer. But before the global tournament arrives, they have decided to stage a pioneering event: broadcast a match via mobile phones.
MLS will carry out a collaboration event with Apple TV, where viewers will be able to watch the match between LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC, which will be played at Dignity Health Sports Park at 04:30 Spanish time. But the only footage that will be seen will be captured by iPhone 17 Pro.

Its use is expanded
Not to broadcast the entire game, but this type of mobile phone was used to capture selected moments of the game and cinematic footage at the stadium for the match between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers, from “Friday Night Baseball” in September 2025.
That production received recognition from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Following the success, Apple increased the use of the device, which was already associated with the U.S. soccer league, at the MLS Cup in 2025.
In the match between LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC, the devices will capture live images throughout the game, including on-field warmups, player introductions, goal angles from inside the net, and the atmosphere inside the stadium.
