The operator of Pornhub and other adult entertainment websites failed to convince a federal court to dismiss a California Invasion of Privacy Act claim in a suit over its use of online tracking software.
The proposed class sufficiently alleged that their communications with Aylo Freesites Ltd. as users who never had Pornhub accounts were intercepted in transit, and that the website failed to obtain their consent to apply third-party tracking tools, the US District Court for the Central District of California said.
