Yan Haoxiang’s camp asks for privacy amid family conflict

4 May – Yan Haoxiang’s camp is now asking for everybody to give the singer some space amid his family conflict.

The whole issue sparked after a person named “Yan Jun” claiming to be the TNT member’s estranged father accused his children of neglecting him, and announced that he is severing ties with them.

In his social media post, he mentioned that his two children maintained contact with him when his financial situation was still good. However, after he fell into financial crisis and was even detained due to debt problems, his children stopped contacting him.

Another post later appeared, supposedly from Yan Haoxiang’s mother, expressing hope that the public not to project the issue between her and her ex-husband onto their children.

On 2 May, TF Entertainment, the agency representing Yan Haoxiang, issued an official statement responding to the matter, stating that Yan Haoxiang’s parents have been divorced for the past 17 years.

“As a child caught in the middle of his parents’ conflict, Yan Haoxiang feels extremely conflicted and helpless, and is therefore under immense pressure both mentally and physically,” it stated.

“Family matters should be resolved amicably through communication within the framework of kinship. Our company earnestly requests the public and media to grant artistes and their families sufficient private space, to view such family disputes rationally, and to refrain from excessive scrutiny, arbitrary interpretations, or the dissemination of false information, so as to jointly create a peaceful living and working environment for the artistes. We sincerely hope that Yan Haoxiang’s parents can communicate rationally, resolve the conflict as soon as possible, and allow the family matter to be properly settled.”
