Tim Cook struck an optimistic tone during Apple’s Q2 FY26 earnings call, highlighting India as a key growth market for the company. Calling himself “over the moon excited” about the region, Cook said, “I think it’s a huge opportunity for us. We’ve been focused on this for a while. It’s the second largest smartphone market in the world and the third largest PC market.” He also pointed to India’s rising middle class and increasing spending power, noting that a large number of customers are buying Apple products for the first time, signalling significant headroom for the company to expand its footprint and attract new users.
Apple delivered a strong performance in Q2 FY26, reporting revenue of $111.2 billion for the quarter ending March 28, 2026, reflecting a 17% jump year over year. Profitability also improved, with diluted earnings per share climbing to $2.01, up 22%. Growth was largely fueled by robust demand for the iPhone 17 lineup and continued momentum in Apple’s services business. CEO Tim Cook also pointed to fresh launches during the quarter, including the iPhone 17e, iPad Air powered by the M4 chip, and the MacBook Neo.

Apple’s operational strength was reflected in more than $28 billion generated in cash flow during the quarter. The company saw gains across all major product categories, indicating consistent demand not just for its flagship devices but also for its broader ecosystem of hardware and services.
Looking at segment performance, iPhones remained the biggest contributor with $57 billion in revenue, registering over 20% growth. Services continued to expand with $31 billion in revenue, while iPads brought in $6.91 billion. Mac sales reached $8.4 billion, and the Wearables, Home, and Accessories category also posted moderate growth, showing steady traction across categories.
