Beyoncé has managed to maintain a lot of her anonymity over the years while making it seem effortless.
Despite being one of the most famous singers in the world, not a lot is known about the Texas Hold ‘Em singer’s life behind closed doors, especially as she rarely gives interviews.
The singer has protected her three children—Blue Ivy, 14, and twins Rumi and Sir, eight—by only sharing snippets of their lives. Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, was recently asked in an interview on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show, Sherri.

“They [Beyoncé and Solange] just know what to hold and when to fold. They want to have a life and to achieve that, they can’t share every detail of their life.”
Tina is known for being more open about her family life, and often shares her pride over her daughters and grandchildren on social media. Sherri asked Tina how her daughters react when she says something she shouldn’t.

Tina replied: “Well they call me, they text me and then I kind of avoid them for the day…And then I just get a text, and I feel bad, but at the time, I don’t think it’s that deep.” She then asked: “Do you ever tell Beyoncé ‘It’s not that deep?To which Tina answered, “Oh girl, I know better than that.” She’s like ‘Mama, how you doing?’ and then it’s downhill.”

Beyoncé previously opened up about her life as a mom in an interview with GQ. She said: “One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn’t turned into a brand.
