Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing how we teach, learn, research, and work, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is taking an intentional approach to help our community use AI safely, ethically, and effectively. The AI at UMB webpage, maintained by the Center for Information Technology Services (CITS), serves as a central starting point for UMB faculty, staff, and students who want to explore approved tools, learn the basics, and understand UMB’s expectations for responsible AI use.

AI tools at UMB: Explore a growing list of AI capabilities available within UMB-supported platforms. There are AI Tools Approved without Restrictions, Approved with Restrictions, and Prohibited AI Tools.
