Reese Macintosh is having a breakout season with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County women’s lacrosse team.

The sophomore from Coopersburg and a Southern Lehigh High graduate is second on the team in scoring with 33 points on 17 goals and 16 assists to help the Retrievers stand 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the America East Conference after a 12-8 conference loss at Vermont last Friday.

Macintosh has scored at least one goal in all nine games and had two big efforts. She scored three goals with three assists in a 12-5 victory over Wagner and two goals and three assists in a 12-7 win against Binghamton.

As a freshman, Macintosh came off the bench in 10 games and had four goals and eight assists.

At Southern Lehigh, she finished her career with 399 points (277 goals and 122 assists) and scored nine goals with five assists in a game.

Dominick Chiego – Centenary baseball (Emmaus)

The redshirt junior catcher/infielder went 5-for-10 with three runs scored and four runs batted in to help the Cyclones top St. Elizabeth 7-6 and 10-6 last Saturday in Hackettstown, N.J. Chiego is hitting .322 (21-for-65) with nine doubles, a home run, 12 runs scored and a team-high 21 RBI. He hit a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth for a 6-3 victory over New Paltz. Senior Simeon Reed (Easton High) is hitting .319 (15-for-47).

Avery Ditze – Arcadia women’s lacrosse (Notre Dame-Green Pond)

The Knights are unbeaten in their first eight games, and the freshman attack is a big reason why. She scored three goals in a 12-10 victory at Hood last Saturday. Ditze is second on the team in scoring with 24 points on 23 goals and an assist with a game-winner. She scored five goals in two games – a 12-5 triumph over Gwynedd Mercy on Feb. 20 and in an 18-3 win over Immaculata on March 7. And she has nine ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Jessica Mantz – Widener women’s lacrosse (Southern Lehigh)

The junior attack scored five goals with an assist to lead the Pride to a 15-7…
