A viral TikTok video claims Apple added a Privacy Display feature to the iPhone through the iOS 26.4 beta. Still, the claim is false, and the feature does not exist in any current version of iOS. The video shows an iPhone screen that looks normal when viewed straight on, then appears black or hidden when the phone tilts at an angle, which creates the impression that Apple introduced a new privacy tool that blocks people nearby from seeing your screen.

The idea comes from the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which includes a feature called Privacy Display that limits viewing angles so only the person holding the phone can clearly see the screen, a concept designed to stop strangers from glancing at messages, photos, or other personal content when you use your phone in public places such as buses, trains, or cafés.
