Apple is heating up gadget rumors again. The giant technology company from Cupertino is rumored to be holding a product launch in the week of March 2, 2026, with the strongest candidate being the refresh of the MacBook Pro line powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.

This information was revealed by Mark Gurman in Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter. He wrote that Apple is planning to launch a product “as early as March 2”, a schedule that makes sense considering that Apple often makes March the first event of the year.

However, March 2 is considered unlikely. Apple almost never holds a major event on Monday, except for the WWDC series. A more realistic date is Tuesday, March 3, in line with Apple’s habit of choosing Tuesdays for important announcements.

With the small possibility of Apple holding two separate events or breaking up the launch of a major product in the same month, the MacBook Pro refresh in early March is considered quite reasonable.

The MacBook Pro in question is the variant with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, following the launch of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip that came first a few months earlier.

In terms of specifications, the main improvement is expected to be in processor performance, while other designs and features are likely to remain very similar to the…
