Earlier this month, PowerPollen and Oxbo announced the first mechanized pollination solution for corn seed production. As we head into the 2026 growing season, this will allow seed companies to directly purchase, integrate, and scale the system. Jason Cope, co-founder and CIPO at PowerPollen, said the ability to store pollen makes it to where farmers can apply pollen at more optimal times.
The partnership combines PowerPollen’s second-generation technology stack with Oxbo’s 5180 high-clearance power units. Cope said this partnership was very natural for both companies.
Cope said farmers will be able to further maximize their yields by making sure the pollen gets applied at exactly the right time and in the perfect spot for pollination.
The new pollination collectors and applicators can be retrofitted on existing Oxbo units and are available as an option on new units.
Cope added that they are excited to provide farmers with another new option to reduce their costs and maximize their farming efficiency.
