Apple’s most affordable MacBook hits record low of $680 in Vietnam

The price of Apple’s MacBook Air M2 has fallen to VND17.8 million (US$680), the cheapest MacBook currently available in Vietnam.

It is the price offered on some major e-commerce platforms for 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage.
But Apple-authorized retailers continue to list it at VND19.5 million.
The M2 was released in 2022 with a base configuration of 8GB of RAM, and in late 2024 Apple released an updated version that increased the standard memory to 16GB.
Several Apple-authorized retailers told Dan Tri newspaper that it has replaced the M1, released in 2020, as Apple’s entry-level laptop, with sales rising noticeably after M1 stocks ran out early last year.
