The Air is currently being sold for VND22.8 million for the 256GB version at several Apple-authorized retailers. Some smaller stores have reduced the price further to VND22 million.

Nguyen Nhu Thanh, deputy director of Apple products at FPT Shop, told Dan Tri newspaper that Air sales have increased by about 20% following a series of price cuts.

Despite being positioned as a higher-end model, the device is now cheaper than both the 17 and 16 Plus.

Retailers are selling the 256GB 17 for around VND24 million, while the 128GB 16 Plus is priced at about VND24 million. However, distributor data shows that both models continue to outsell the iPhone Air.

A spokesperson for retailer Di Dong My said demand for the iPhone Air has improved following recent discounts, but the 16 Plus and 17 remain more popular with consumers and continue to generate stronger sales.

The Air, Apple’s thinnest smartphone, debuted in Vietnam in September 2025 with a starting price of VND32 million.

The model introduced a new design that differed markedly from previous iPhones and represented Apple’s biggest redesign of the lineup in nearly a decade.

It is the only iPhone released last year with a titanium body, and is powered by Apple’s A19 Pro chip, the same processor used in the 17 Pro lineup.

The chip features a six-core CPU and five-core GPU, delivering performance comparable to some MacBook Pro models.

But the phone has only a single rear camera, giving it image quality only slightly better than the budget 16e and weaker than the standard 17, which comes with a dual-camera system.

Despite its distinctive design and flagship-level processor, the model has struggled to gain traction with consumers. It has also recorded the steepest price decline among all iPhone models released in 2025.
