Google’s May 2026 System Services update adds smarter digital car key sharing, improved Play Store features for large-screen devices and new gaming streak recovery tools

Google has released the May 2026 System Services update, bringing quality-of-life improvements, particularly for users who rely on digital car keys or own large-screen Android devices. One of the biggest additions simplifies the way Google Wallet users can share digital car keys with family members or service providers. With the update, Google Wallet now supports new digital car key roles, including “co-owner,” “guest” and “service.” The feature is designed to make sharing digital keys as seamless as handing over a physical key fob.

The latest update also brings changes to the Google Play Store, especially for tablets and book-style foldables, which will now display more content on larger screens. Google is additionally introducing a new feature that allows users to restore gaming streaks shown in the Play Store’s Games tab, although details about how it works remain unclear.

Users can install the latest update by navigating to Settings Google services All Services Privacy and security System services on their Android devices. On Pixel phones, the menu can be accessed…
