It’s been a busy week for tech news, so we wouldn’t blame you if you’ve had a hard time keeping up. That’s why we’ve rounded up all of the big stories you may have missed, whether it’s Amazon’s new 30-minute delivery option in select cities or all of the big updates coming to Android phones. There’s even some good news for Wordle fans: a game show based on the popular word game is about to start filming.

Android updates galore
Even though Google I/O 2026 doesn’t start until next week, Google gave Android fans an appetizer with the latest Android Show on Tuesday. The show lasted just under 40 minutes and was packed with all kinds of updates coming to the mobile OS. The big theme across them all? AI, of course.

To kick things off, Google introduced Gemini Intelligence, which lets the AI assistant perform multi-step tasks across your phone. See a travel brochure and want to schedule your own trip? You can snap a picture and ask Google to book a similar tour on Expedia. If you’re a student, you can ask Gemini to find your class syllabus in your email and add all of the required books to an online shopping cart. Gemini will leave you in control, though, only teeing things up for you to make the final decision.
Google also showed off a huge revamp coming to Android Auto, with fresh design tweaks, customizable home screen widgets, and the ability to watch HD video on your car’s screen when you’re parked. Gemini Intelligence is included here, too, allowing you to do things like have it order food from Doordash on your way home from work.
