WAUSAU − Wausau area residents can learn more about their brain health at a free memory screening event April 13, according to a community announcement.
The event will take place from 3-5 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau headquarters, 300 N. Third St.
Staff from the Aging and Disability Resource Center will conduct the screenings, which will last about 15 minutes each. The screenings are a first step in determining whether someone is experiencing normal memory changes or if further attention is needed, according to the announcement.
The staff cannot provide a diagnosis, but can help participants decide if they should discuss any changes with a health care provider.
