CyberPatriot Success at AHS!

Two teams of Ankeny High School students competed in the annual CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition and earned 2nd and 3rd place in the Gold Division at the State level!

3rd Place: Michael Kennedy, Jayden Brady, Carter Lacina & Carter Garcia

These students rose to the challenge of identifying and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities in virtual operating systems — showcasing incredible skill, teamwork, and problem-solving.

A huge thank you to advisors Jen Poole and Tom Brasier, AHS and CHS computer science teachers, for their guidance and support.

CyberPatriot is the world’s largest youth cybersecurity competition, inspiring students toward future careers in cybersecurity and STEM fields critical to our nation’s future.
