This follows Samsung Display reportedly beginning manufacturing its foldable OLED panels in mid-June. The report claims a September launch is \u201cno problem\u201d. Therefore, earlier rumours of manufacturing delays may no longer apply.<\/p>\n<p>That lines up with several recent reports indicating Apple has overcome production issues surrounding key components, including the phone\u2019s complex hinge. If accurate, the iPhone Ultra will launch alongside the\u00a0iPhone 18 Pro,\u00a0iPhone 18 Pro Max, the\u00a0Apple Watch Series 12\u00a0and the\u00a0Apple Watch Ultra 3\u00a0during Apple\u2019s usual autumn hardware event.<\/p>\n<p>Apple is also said to be preparing for a relatively ambitious launch. The company plans to manufacture around\u00a010 million iPhone Ultra units\u00a0by the end of the year. However, production could still be adjusted depending on demand after release.<\/p>\n<p>The foldable itself is expected to take on Samsung\u2019s Galaxy Z Fold series. Rumours point to a\u00a05.5-inch outer display\u00a0and a\u00a07.8-inch foldable internal screen.
