Apple\u2019s iPhone 17 lineup appears to be losing some of its early sales momentum, as new supply chain claims suggest the company has lowered its production plans by around 15%. The change comes after months of strong demand, record sales, and higher output for the iPhone 17 series.<\/p>\n

According to leaker Fixed Focus Digital, Apple has reduced its shipment forecast because the current iPhone 17 demand outlook will not last much longer. The leaker also claimed that several major smartphone brands have lowered their targets, which shows a wider slowdown across the market.<\/p>\n

The report says Xiaomi has cut its shipment target by around 20% to 30%, while OPPO, vivo, and Honor have also reduced their targets by roughly 15% to 30%. This suggests Apple is dealing with a broader industry trend, rather than a problem limited to one iPhone model.<\/p>\n

The slowdown also fits the normal iPhone cycle, as the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and Apple\u2019s first foldable iPhone are expected in September. Many customers who wanted an iPhone 17 have already bought one after its strong launch run.<\/p>\n

Even with this reported cut, the iPhone 17 lineup has had a strong year. Earlier reports said iPhone production rose sharply in early 2026, while the iPhone 17 became the world\u2019s best-selling smartphone in the first quarter.<\/p>\n

After nine months of strong sales, Apple\u2019s reported production cut looks like a natural slowdown before the next iPhone launch.<\/p>\n
