Xfce remains the distribution&#8217;s default desktop environment and continues to ship with the stable 4.20 series.<\/span>\n        <\/p>\n<p>\n          <span class=\"\">The release also expands Kali&#8217;s toolkit with several new utilities. These include <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">arsenal-ng<\/span><span class=\"\">, a Go-based command library featuring an extensive collection of cybersecurity cheat sheets; <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">hydra-gtk<\/span><span class=\"\">, a graphical interface for the fast network logon cracker Hydra; <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">legba<\/span><span class=\"\">, a multiprotocol credential brute-forcing, password spraying, and enumeration tool; and <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">oletools<\/span><span class=\"\">, which helps analyze Microsoft OLE2 files and Office documents.<\/span>\n        <\/p>\n<p>\n          <span class=\"\">Additional tools introduced in this release include <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">Penelope<\/span><span class=\"\">, a powerful shell handler; <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">shell-gpt<\/span><span class=\"\">, an AI-powered command-line productivity assistant; <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">Tailscale<\/span><span class=\"\">, a secure connectivity platform; <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">tookie-osint<\/span><span class=\"\">, an OSINT tool for discovering social media accounts; and <\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">uro<\/span><span class=\"\">, a utility that cleans and organizes URLs for web crawling and penetration testing.<\/span>\n        <\/p>\n<p>\n          <span class=\"\">Beyond new tools, Kali Linux 2026.2 brings several system improvements.
